A Double-Elimination Tourney will be held using Sabres and Two-Handed Long Swords. As a great sum were dressed in plate, the tourney will provide for thrusting only as a victory condition. Should anyone be able to provide documentation that states during the life-span of Vlad Basarab III, that another light list weapon was used by Walachians, that weapon WILL BE admitted!!!!!! (Firearms excluded)

Archery

The Ottoman empire's initial approach was by sea. Mehmet's troops were slowed by the archers of Walachia. The bowman will take aim at a moving ship!!!! Each boat has a maximum potential score of 100 men. Striking the mast at full range achieves a 100, while the sails achieve a mere 10 points. The points lower as the boats approach. At 3/4 range, a mast is worth 75, and the sails are worth 7, at 1/2 range the mast is worth 50 and the sails worth 5, and finally at 1/4 range the mast is worth 25 and the sails a mere 2 points.

Baronial Championship Tournament Format.

Round 1: Shark Pit

Each combattant fights each other combattant once. The two highest scoring combattants each receive one point

for the round.

Round 2: Single-handed Devastation (Double Elimination)

Each combatant will arm themselves with only a one- handed sword. For the purposes of this round, each combattant is assumed to

have all of their limbs intact. The off hand must be covered by a gauntlet. . The last fighter left alive gets a point

Round 3: The Champion of An Dubhaigeainn doesn't get pushed around by anybody!

The combattants will fight in a 9' by 9' square using whichever weapons form they wish. If any part of a combatant touches the edge or the outside of the square, they are considered dead. A fighter can also die normally through combat. Double elimination. Last fighter standing gets a point.

During the Third round, their Excellencies will interview each combatantthat wishes to become Champion and decide who most embodies the spirit of a Champion that day. The chosen combattant will be awarded one point.The two combattants with the most points at this time move on to the finals round.

Finals round- The champion should be able to protect the honor of theirexcellencies with any weapon available. Five lives, each time a combattant dies, that combattant must resurrect with a new weapons form. For the purposes of this round, some examples of weapons forms could be:

Sword & shield

Lefty sword & shield

Polearm

Mass weapon and sword

Florentine swords

One handed mass weapon(mace/axe) and shield

Spear

Great weapon(sword, axe or mace)

Dagger & shield

(This list isn't comprehensive, the spirit of the rule is to not come backfighting the exact same weapon/weapons combination twice. For the purposesof this tournament, lefty Sword&Shield will be counted as a separate weapons form.)
